Hello! I’m Richard McNeill.
I’m a piano technician serving Grants, Milan, and the surrounding areas of New Mexico, with over 15 years of experience tuning and repairing pianos. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Music Education and have been teaching music for more than 10 years. Currently, I teach at Mesa View Elementary School in Grants, NM.
My background as both an educator and technician gives me a deep understanding of how instruments are meant to sound, feel, and support musicians at every level. I strive to provide the highest quality service and tuning possible, and I take great pride in my craftsmanship. Professional Piano Services
All tuning appointments include time for minor adjustments and small repairs, such as sticky keys, light action regulation, pedal adjustments, or minor mechanical issues, when they can be completed within the scheduled visit. Larger or more complex repairs will be discussed and quoted separately after evaluation.
Basic Piano Tuning
A straightforward, essential tuning designed to bring your piano back to proper pitch and improve overall sound quality. This service includes a general inspection of the instrument, notes on its condition, and recommendations for future maintenance or repairs if needed. Ideal for regularly maintained pianos or routine upkeep.

Full-Service Tuning
A comprehensive tuning experience that goes beyond pitch correction. This service includes tuning plus additional time for fine adjustments, light repairs, and action or tone improvements as needed. Regular full-service tunings help preserve your piano’s long-term health and noticeably enhance how it plays and sounds.

A comprehensive service designed to significantly improve sound, touch, and responsiveness.

Recommended for pianos used for lessons, performance, or frequent play, and for instruments that haven’t been serviced recently.
Piano Repair & Maintenance
Repair services focused on restoring proper function, responsiveness, and playability. This may include action repairs, hammer or damper issues, key regulation, and other mechanical concerns. To accurately assess the piano’s condition and provide a fair estimate, a tuning appointment may be required prior to repair work.

Service Areas
I am based in Milan, New Mexico. Service areas include: Milan, Grants, and surrounding areas. A travel fee of $45 applies to all appointments that are more than a 30 min drive from Grants or Milan.
Payment Methods
I accept Cash, Check, Credit Card, and Venmo Payments. A 3.5% Fee applies to card transactions.
